The History

The Maine Coon is one of the oldest American breeds. The Maine Coon is believed to have been around since the late 1800s and originated in the state of Maine. The Maine Coon got it's nickname "Gentle Giant" from its large size and friendly temperment, which makes them the purr-fect family companion!

High Maintenance

Maine Coons are an extremely high-maintenance breed. They require exceptional love and care from the breeder and their new family. Owning a Maine Coon is more than having a "fancy looking cat."

  • A High Quality Diet

  • Shedding and Coat Care

  • Vet Costs

  • Outdoors Time
